Program
after an 11 am pick up at Venice Marco Polo airport/Venice Mestre train station we drive to our hotel in pretty, historic Follina (4 nights, 1 hour drive) in the Alpine foothills for a simple lunch and a chance to look around the village and its interesting abbey. Dinner in the hotel’s Michelin starred restaurant La Corte.
a short drive takes us to the Prosecco vineyards for an up and down circular walk on comfortable paths with pretty views of the famed Cartizze wine area and a Prosecco tasting and restaurant lunch en route (8 km/5 miles, 4.5 hrs). Dinner at the fair.
we drive to the panoramic high hills above the village to 1200 metres for a walk in the Monte Cesena area (10 km/8 miles, 5 hrs) before returning to the valley for a tasting at an award winning local producer before exploring the events of the local Prosecco fair. Prosecco menu at a local restaurant.
this morning we drive over to Lago Santo Croce for a pretty lake view walk (8 km/5 miles, 4 hrs) before a tasting of the interesting red wines of the Treviso hills and another delicious meal in the hotel’s Michelin starred restaurant La Corte.
return to Venice airport/Venice Mestre train station (1 hour).
